Meet Amanda
Amanda Unrau
Hello! My name is Amanda. I am a speech pathologist by day, and a freelance writer during the in between times. As a self-proclaimed nerd, I truly enjoy research. Having worked in a variety of private practice and school settings, as well as telepractice, I have experienced the joys and challenges of the general education and special education system.
When I am not working, you can find me on my morning walks, experimenting in the kitchen, brewing kombucha, and listening to audiobooks, sermons, and podcasts. My husband is a photographer, so I will often help out on his photo shoots. It’s a great excuse to get out and explore different locations around the city and state. Although my true nature is a homebody, my husband and I enjoy traveling and have a goal to visit all the states and national parks.
